Squad Program

Our program offers pathways for both competitive and fitness swimmers, with our squads providing opportunities for every swimmer to develop skills, build fitness and endurance,as well as enjoy the social benefits of training within a team environment.

The squad program begins with a 45-minute entry-level Sharks squad progressing to our junior and senior competitive squads, which swim for up to 2 hours per session.

Every swimmer is required to be assessed by the head coach in a trial session before they enrol into the squad program.

All squad trials and payments are managed through Galston Aquatic and Leisure Centre. Please call 9847 6340 for squad enquiries.

FAQ

What is involved in the Timekeeping job?

Timekeeping is an easy job that any parent can help with. The timer starts automatically. The Timekeeper simply needs to press a button when the swimmer touches the wall at the end of the race, and write down the time shown on the screen.

Do I have to stay at the pool with my child on club night?

Yes. All members under 18 years must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Am I Expected to Help at Club Night?

Ideally yes please! We are entirely volunteer run and rely on parents to be timekeepers, run the bbq etc., which allows the more experienced parents to organise the night. We need 10-12 timekeepers each week to allow the night to run and for swimmers’ times to be recorded, plus BBQ helpers. All jobs are straightforward and training given where necessary.

How do we see the results?

Results for each race night will be uploaded to the Team App, as well as published to Meet Mobile.
